New Patient Information & Frequently Asked Questions

Your first visit is all about you – your comfort, your happiness, and your health.

Your first visit is important to us as it will allow us the chance to address all your dental concerns and present an individualized treatment plan that is best for you. At Russell Family Dentistry, our patients are our number one priority. We are here to listen to your concerns and help you achieve a beautiful and healthy smile.

Your first visit will begin with a new patient exam with the dentist.  Your medical history will be thoroughly reviewed as well as digital X-rays.  We will perform an oral cancer screening, TMJ evaluation, and explain your personalized treatment plan. At your next visit, one of our hygienists will clean and polish your teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept dental insurance?

At Russell Family Dentistry we make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. As a courtesy to our patients, Russell Family Dentistry will file a claim for our services to your dental insurance. We are an In-Network provider with Northeast Delta Dental, for most all other insurances we are an independent dental provider.

Regular visits can often stop decay and gum disease before they start. Nonetheless, we offer comprehensive care and can treat these conditions if they do arise. For example, if you are suffering from gum disease, we can perform scaling and planing to eradicate oral bacteria on a more frequent quarterly basis.

What can I expect at my first visit?

During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history forms and take digital x-rays of your teeth and mouth. Then, Dr. Russell or his associate will meet with you to discuss your X-rays, help create an individual treatment plan to meet your needs, and answer any questions that you may have. If you would like to request a particular doctor, please let us know when you schedule your appointment and we will be happy to assist. At your next visit, one of our hygienists will clean and polish your teeth.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Several days prior to your appointment we will send you via text or email a COVID screening questionnaire to compete and new patient forms/medical history questionnaire (if needed).  Most patients will return this information to us electronically.  In addition, we ask that you bring your insurance card, payment method for your co-payment and your mask.

Are you accepting new patients?

We are welcoming new patients and would be pleased to assist you with your dental care. Our amazing front desk staff is happy to answer any questions you have about our practice.
